The North Carolina Department of Transportation has wrapped up its study of a deadly Iredell County Intersection.
Three people died in October at the intersection of Triplett Road and a newly-constructed section of Highway 70. Now, the DOT has decided to make a change to make the area safer. Dishmam was the first to lose his life at the new intersection, just days after it was opened. He was hit from the side while trying to cross Highway 70.
Catherine and Casey died days after Dishman, when an 18-wheeler truck hit them. After the wrecks, DOT installed two new stop signs, rumble strips and a message board.
