Truck Accident Lawyer

Hilda. A. McNeer was driving her car on State Road 285 six miles north of Niceville in Okalsooa County Florida, when she crossed the white line and hit an 18-wheeler head-on. This happened in the early hours of June 12. She had a passenger, 27-year-old Messiah D.R. Pratt, of Columbus, Georgia.

Ms. McNeer, 59, of Phenix City, Ala., was already dead when rescuers arrived. It took about 40 minutes to free Pratt. He was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with critical injuries. The truck was driven by 54-year-old Walter Wiggins of Cottondale, Florida. He was unhurt.

The accident ripped open the truck’s external fuel tank, spilling 50 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway. Both lanes of SR 285 were closed until 12:30 p.m. while crews worked to clean up the spilled fuel.
